About

My name is Efthymia

I'm a designer/maker, silversmith based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

My vision for this brand is fuelled by nostalgia, my love for family, my hopeless romanticism, and how much I adore the little things in life. Especially how we as humans gift each other beautiful objects and adorn our bodies with things that glisten.

All my pieces are made to order, designed and crafted by me in my Nicosia Studio as well as in collaboration with local artisans from around the island. The process is slow, meticulous and relies on many human hands before the jewellery reaches you.

I hope you find this space to be full of inspiration, authenticity and fun.

Lots of love,

Efthymia

How the hell do I pronounce Efthymia?

Please allow the brilliant Nefeli Abastado from GR Language to teach you what the name Efthymia means and how to pronounce it!

"EFTHYMIA TRULY MEANS THE SOUL BEING IN A JOYOUS STATE"

Jewellery Care Tips

SILVER CLEANING

If you notice your silver piece losing its shine, you can use at home, friendly and non-toxic methods to clean it. A simple mix of lemon juice and baking soda diluted with some warm water applied gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush will help your piece brighten and regain its original shine. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly with a gentle cloth and to take it a step further you can use a polishing cloth and gently rub until shiny.

GOLD PLATING CARE

If a jewellery brand claims that gold-plating will last forever, I’m sorry to break it to you, but they’re lying. Although the plating uses real gold to electrochemically transfer onto other metals, it still remains a thin layer of gold. Gold-plating offers an affordable alternative to solid gold pieces but needs some extra love, care and attention. If your piece loses its gold finish, it’s proof that you are loving to wear it. We can discuss options to re-plate your piece.

For your gold-plated pieces to last longer you should avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, oils, alcohol, makeup, fake tan, hairspray, chlorine or any harsh chemicals.

You can gently clean your gold-plated jewellery with dish soap and a soft-bristled toothbrush in lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly with a gentle towel.
